Dr. Chinyere N. Alimba is an associate professor at the Centre for Peace and Security Studies, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola. He has served as senate member and the Head, General Studies Department.

He is the Director of Finance of Global Education Network (GEN); a member of International Peace Research Association (IPRA) and Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP). He was at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore for a brief programme. His research areas include peace education, security studies and terrorism. He has a substantial number of publications in reputable local and international journals.
